Boston, Aug. 14 1735. The following lines were written to a
young gentleman, occasion'd by a poem of his, the early
produce of his fine genius, inscrib'd to a young lady, and
presented to me for my perusal and opinion of it ---- by
inserting them, sir, in your next, you'll highly gratify the
fancy of yours, &c.
